DESCRIPTION:Hydrant Flushing, which happens twice a year, begins this week and continues through the month.\nWater may run down the street as we do this. We flush water lines in both spring and fall through fire hydrants, an essential preventive maintenance activity. Although it may appear to waste water, the process is necessary to maintain the water system’s integrity and provide the highest quality water possible to our customers. It is also a way to ensure hydrant effectiveness for fire control purposes.\nIf you have any questions, please contact the Water Department at 382-2074.\n
