At the April 22 Nevada City Council Meeting, during National Volunteer Week, a group of Nevada volunteers -— nominated by organizations that utilize lots of volunteers in the community — were recognized for their service. They each received a special pin from Main Street Nevada Director Emily Schaack. Pictured with Mayor Brett Barker are (from left) Barb Mittman, Kathy Solko, Michelle Flynn, Christa Skaggs, (Mayor Barker), Elizabeth Gindt, Jalene Hornbuckle, and Ann Kurtenbach. Not pictured were Jeff Spencer and Lisa Oxley, both nominated but unable to attend the council meeting on April 22. We thank these Nevada volunteers for their service.
