City crews began Monday and will continue this week to make ONE pass through the entire town as they remove
Rental Facilities
Pavilion
The Pavilion is a year round facility (both air conditioned and heated) that offers accommodations for a variety of events for people of all ages. The Pavilion is a perfect location to hold a graduation party, wedding reception, birthday party, or family reunion. The building has tables and chairs inside for 130 people and can accommodate additional people on the outside covered patio.
Nevada Senior Center
The Senior Center is available to be used by Nevada Seniors each weekday from 9-4. The Senior Center volunteers have organized activities such as: men’s and women’s coffee times, Bingo, card tournaments, a monthly noon potluck with a short program, and occasional day trips around Iowa. RSVP from Ames helps with transportation to various appointments and other activities of interest to seniors.
The Nevada Senior Community Center may be rented by the general public on nights and weekends. It has a full kitchen and adequate table seating for 80 people. A generous amount of parking is available with a handicap ramp to the south.
Park Shelters
Various parks within Nevada have shelters available for rent for $25 per day. Park Shelters available for rent include: Mardean, Krupp, Hattery, Kiwanis, and Harrington. Please contact the Nevada Parks and Recreation Department at 515-382-4352 to reserve a shelter today.
4-Plex
If you are interested in holding a tournament, the S.C.O.R.E. 4-Plex is available for rent on weekends throughout the summer. The 4-Plex includes 4 tournament lighted fields with 300' fences with the ability to decrease fence length with portable fencing. This facility offers full service concessions, restrooms, PA System, and scoreboards.
