The League of Women Voters of Ames & Story County is hosting a public forum for the candidates competing to represent Iowa House District 51. The forum will be held at the Nevada Public Library on Tuesday, October 6, from 6:30-8 p.m.
Brett Barker, Republican (incumbent) and Teresa Perin, Democrat, have been invited to participate.
Iowa House District 51 includes the communities of Cambridge, Collins, Colo, Gilbert, Huxley, Kelley, Maxwell, McCallsburg, Nevada, and Zearing, as well as the following townships: Collins, Franklin, Indian Creek, Lincoln, Milford, Nevada, New Albany, Palestine, Richland, Sherman, Union, and Warren.
The public will be invited to ask questions and express their views.
