Members of the Nevada Community Band are excited to announce their first invitation to be part of the 2026 Iowa Municipal Band Festival, happening Saturday, July 11, in Boone.

This will be the 34th annual Iowa Municipal Band Festival, and this year’s festival features three first-time bands, including the Nevada Community Band, the Council Bluffs Wind Ensemble, and the Ballard Creek Big Band from Huxley.

This free event, held annually on the second Saturday in July, rain or shine, brings together community bands from across Iowa for a full day of music and camaraderie.

A food court will offer sandwiches, pies, ice cream, and drinks.

Seating is available at bleachers, picnic tables, or you can bring your own lawn chair.

A shuttle service will be available to assist with transportation from parking areas to the pavilion.
