The City of Nevada, Iowa, is accepting bids for the lease of approximately 17 acres of farmland for a two-year term. The property will be leased on a cash rent basis. Interested parties are invited to submit a bid for the use of the farmland for agricultural purposes during the two-year lease period.

Bid Deadline
All bids must be received by the City no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Bids received after the deadline may not be considered.
Lease & Payment Terms
The successful bidder will enter into a two-year farmland lease agreement with the City of Nevada. Cash rent payments will be divided into two equal installments each lease year:
- 50% due April 1
- Remaining 50% due October 1
For the first lease year, the initial payment will be due April 1, 2027, with the second payment due October 1, 2027. The same payment schedule will apply to the second year of the lease. The successful bidder will be responsible for complying with the terms and conditions outlined in the farmland lease agreement.
