Grant funds have enabled the City to pursue tree planting on part of Sixth Street and at Evergreen Lane as part of community beautification initiatives. Tree planting along a few blocks of Sixth Street, south of the downtown business district, is expected to start this Friday (April 19). Trees will also be planted at Evergreen Lane, replacing some trees lost through storm damage over the past few years.
