This year, a project that will increase safety for pedestrians and bike riders wanting to get back and forth from the southwest part of town to north of Highway 30 over the new overpass bridge will happen.
The City Council passed a design and construction phase services contract with City Consulting Engineers, HR Green, in February for the trail extension from Sixth Street to Eighth Street.
This project is nearly complete as of March 2026.
