Cornelius moves to permanent part-time position at Library

Aloria Cornelius has moved from an intern clerk position to a permanent part-time position at the Nevada Public Library.

Aloria, a 2024 Nevada High School graduate, said she loves that she now works five days a week and gets to see more people. “Just being able to be at the library more frequently and interact with more people… is pretty nice,” she commented.

Along with loving the people who come to the library, Aloria said she loves processing books. “That’s honestly the best part of the job.” Processing books means getting to see all of them, as you put labels and covers on them. “It’s very satisfying,” she said.

Aloria’s favorite books are about animals. The Erin Hunter Warriors book series is one of her favorite reads. She’s a fan of graphic novels and loves looking at picture books. She also collects comic books.

Aloria previously worked for Casey’s in Nevada. She enjoys playing games and organizing just about anything. Her family in town includes her mother, Kathryn Murray, and a sister and brother-in-law, Venus and Maxwell Blackthorn.
