Dennis Pratt returns to employment with the City Streets Department

If you think you’re seeing double in the City Streets Department, check for the mustache!

Dennis Pratt returned to the City’s employment today, joining the City Streets Department, where he had previously worked from January 2014 to October 2017.

Most recently working as an assistant mechanic for Story County, Dennis said he’s excited to be back in the City Streets Department, which also employs his twin brother, Doug. Dennis is rarely without a mustache, which is the best way to tell them apart.

“I like the variety of tasks and that every day is something different,” Dennis said of the streets department. He also likes the group of guys who work in the department, and he’s used to working alongside his brother. The two worked together for many years in their father’s garbage business.

Dennis is a Nevada native and a 1989 graduate of Nevada High School. He attended DMACC after high school.

When he’s not working, Dennis said his hobbies include hunting, “trying to fish,” tinkering in his yard and around the house, and working on a motorcycle project, “although at the moment it’s less work and more just staring at it.”

Dennis and his wife, Nikki, live in Nevada. They have a daughter, Brianna Manthei of Ogden, and one granddaughter, Phoenix.
