If you travel on U.S. 30 in Nevada you need to be aware of overnight road closures that could affect your trip.
On Monday and Tuesday nights, March 4 and 5, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., weather permitting, crews will close U.S. 30 about a mile east of Interstate 35 between 580th Street and 600th Street so beams can be placed over eastbound U.S. 30.
When the roadway is closed, you will be detoured around the work zone using 580th Street, East Lincoln Way, and 600th Street, and U.S. 30 (see map).
Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
