In the overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday morning, Nevada joined the growing number of Story County communities being hit by thieves, who are breaking into vehicles.
As of 8 a.m. this morning, the Nevada Police Department had already received 12 reports of vehicle break-ins coming from the Lakeview Court and Maple Avenue areas.
The Nevada PD reminds residents to be proactive by locking car doors and removing valuables from vehicles.
