Parks and Rec News: Field House Update, Summer Program Sign-up Starts

Finally, the Nevada Parks and Recreation Department has some information to share about the Field House!
Parks and Recreation offices have officially moved to the Field House. Staff has been organizing equipment and the storage area to be ready for opening.
Indoor playground installation is set for the week of Jan. 22. Installation and painting of the basketball courts is scheduled to be completed Monday, Jan. 15. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, we will have limited use of two basketball courts for parks and recreation basketball practices on Thursday, Jan. 18, and host our first CIRL games on Saturday, Jan. 20 in the new Field House.
Anticipated completion of the remaining sports flooring (turf, track, and multipurpose area) should happen around Jan. 25 or 26. The parks and rec staff is hoping everything with the schedule for sports flooring stays on track. The plan is that everything should be available for use by the end of January or the first of February, at which time full access to the building will be offered.
Pass information is now viewable on Rec Desk for informational purposes only. Community members can begin purchasing passes beginning Feb. 1.
