Tell the Iowa DOT what you think about proposed improvements on U.S. 30 from 590th Avenue to County Road S14 in Nevada starting August 14

AMES, Iowa – Aug. 8, 2025 – Tell us what you think about proposed improvements to U.S. 30 from 590^th Avenue to County Road S14 in Nevada.

Changes include:

• New interchange at 610^th Avenue/Airport Road
• Reconstruction and paving of West Maple Avenue east of 610^th Avenue
• Construct extension of West A Avenue west of 610^th Avenue
• Close access at 590^th and 600^th Avenues and 6^th Street

During the construction of the U.S. 30 and 610^th Avenue interchange, traffic on 610^th Avenue will be detoured using County Rd E41/Lincoln Highway, 600^th Avenue, and West Maple Avenue. Construction is expected to start spring of 2028 and end fall of 2030.
