The City Council approved the final reading of Ordinance No. 1074 (2025/2026), which increased the SEWER charges and changed the way the charges will show on your utility bill. Previously, the bill showed water, sewer, storm sewer, sewer construction, resource recovery, and WET tax. For commercial and industrial users, a sales tax line was also listed.
The new utility bills will show water, sewer, storm sewer, sewer service, resource recovery, and WET tax. For commercial and industrial users, there is also a sales tax.
In the process of changing how charges are shown for the sewer fees, the software company inadvertently listed the WET tax line twice on the bill. However, the total DOES NOT include the WET tax fee twice.
