Rental Code, Guidelines for Landlords

The City of Nevada has regulations regarding the conditions and maintenance of rental properties, buildings, and structures.

By Occupancy

Single Family Occupancy, $20.00 dollars

Two Family Occupancy/ Duplex, $20.00 dollars plus $5.00 dollars a unit

Three Family Occupancy/ Triplex, $20.00 dollars plus $5.00 dollars a unit

Four family Occupancy/ Non-Commercial, $20.00 dollars plus $5.00 dollars a unit

Non-Compliance of Registration

0-30 Days, $100.00

30-60 Days, $150.00

60-120 Days, $300.00

After 120 Days, $300.00 plus $100.00 per month or $5.00 a day if within the month

Violation Fees

1^st Offense, $100.00

2^nd Offense, $150.00

3^rd Offense, $300.00

4^th Offense, $500.00

5^th Offense, $1,000.00 plus the Rental Certification suspended pending City Council reinstatement
