Building & Zoning Official
City of Nevada, Iowa – This position will perform building inspections, nuisance abatement, and zoning enforcement. Directs the issuance of permits, reviews plans and makes inspections. Residential inspector, commercial inspector, HMA 1 & PCC2 certifications required, time given to attain. Five to six years related experience or bachelor’s degree and one to two years’ experience and/or training. Degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture or closely related field. Salary range based on qualifications. Program and Facility Coordinator
City of Nevada, Iowa -The Program and Facility Coordinator, under the administrative supervision of the Parks and Recreation Director, performs a variety of duties involved with the daily operations of the Field House and SCORE Recreation/Athletic Complex, along with other City facilities as assigned. Trains, assigns, schedules, and directs the work of personnel engaged in seasonal recreation and aquatic activities for the department. Compiles and maintains required reports of departmental programs, activities, services, and facilities for approval.
Library Clerk Intern: Looking for a customer focused individual to join our team at the Nevada Public Library. This position is part-time/seasonal and will primarily assist patrons at the circulation desk, shelve books, complete office related tasks and etc. Applicants need to be age 16 or older. Ability to follow directions, count money, alphabetize and work with office equipment is required. No previous work experience is necessary. If interested, please complete an application. Â
