The City of Nevada’s Snow Emergency will AUTOMATICALLY be in effect whenever 1 inch or more of snow has fallen.
Prepare for a Snow Emergency
Most important, the City of Nevada’s snow emergency goes into effect automatically if an inch or more snow accumulates. Therefore, any time snow is predicted, residents must have a plan to move all vehicles off of city streets and out of public parking lots. We encourage all residents to have a plan.
Residents must also shovel or clear the sidewalks adjacent to their property when snow accumulates; and our fire department asks residents to clear off any fire hydrants near their property. This will save precious time if a fire emergency happens.
