Fourth of July Activities in Nevada
6:30-10 a.m. Breakfast at the Fire Station
Enjoy a pancake breakfast before the parade. Cost is a free-will donation with all proceeds benefitting the local fire department.
10 a.m. Parade
Hosted by the American Legion, the parade travels on 6th Street between E and N Avenues. To participate, register between 9:15 and 10 a.m. at the parade staging area on E Avenue between 7th and 9th Streets. There is no cost to take part.
11 a.m. Rootbeer Floats/Chicken & Noodles
Follwing the parade, come to the American Legion Post at 1331 6th Street, to enjoy a traditional Nevada homemade chicken & noodles dinner, complete with other fixings and homemade pies. Cost is $12 for adults ($5 for children age 10 and under). Also the Legion Auxiliary will make rootbeer floats in exchange for a free-will offering.
8 p.m. Pre Fireworks Show Treats
Rasmusson-Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory will hand out free popcorn, sno-cones and bottled water in their parking lot across from SCORE.
