During the Feb. 9, 2026, Nevada City Council meeting, three representatives of the American Legion Auxiliary presented Mayor Ryan Condon with a check for $1,000 to go toward this year’s fireworks show.

Vincent said she wanted this $1,000 donation to be the start of what we can do as a town to celebrate our nation’s 250th anniversary.
