If you own rental property in the City of Nevada, Iowa, you are required to have your rental property inspected by the City according to a schedule outlined on the Rental Code, Guidelines for Landlords page of the City Website, which falls under the requirements outlined in City Ordinance 1023.
The first properties to be inspected fall within Ward I, the northeast section of Nevada, which can be viewed on the map on this page. The deadline to register for your inspection is Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025. Inspections will occur between Sept. 19 and Dec. 20, 2025.
Landlords must register for inspection via Cloudpermit, a program the City now uses for many of its Planning & Zoning forms. You can register for an account (free of charge) and find the forms needed by going to https://us.cloudpermit.com/gov/login.
