Steps:
1. Pick up a Hunt for the Holidays sheet inside the front door of Nevada City Hall (1209 6th St.) or print your sheet at home.
2. Hunt within the Nevada City Limits for the items described. Hint: Some items may be easier to find after dark.
3. Each time you find an item, describe the location where you found it (give an address or great description of the location) on your sheet.
4. When you’ve found as many – hopefully ALL – of the items you can find, email a picture of your finished sheet to mbarker@cityofnevadaiowa.org, OR return your finished sheet to the Nevada City Hall (1209 6th St.). There will be a box inside the front doors where you can leave your sheet at any time, day or night.
Each “Master Hunter,” (anyone who has found every item correctly in our hunt and who emails or drops off your sheet by 8 a.m., Monday, Jan. 4), will be entered in a GRAND PRIZE drawing to have lunch with a member of the Nevada Police Department (courtesy of FarmGrounds).
Another “Master Hunter” will win 2 lanes for 1 hour of GLOW BOWLING (courtesy of Sports Bowl).
Several other winners will also be drawn and win free large pizzas from Alley’s Pizza and George’s Pizza!
Partially completed hunts may still be turned in and may be eligible for the prize drawing (depending on the success of other completed entries). Watch for a few clues to be given by our Nevada Police officers on the Nevada Police Department Facebook page during this month.
