Ryan Hutton has returned to a full-time position as an officer in the Nevada Police Department/Public Safety Department. Hutton has continued to be a part-time officer alongside his duties as the City’s Building and Zoning Official for the last few years. The City is in the process of hiring for a new Building and Zoning Official.
Public Safety Director and Police Chief Chris Brandes said Hutton’s return to his department as a full-time officer will be a benefit to the department. “Ryan is still fully certified, and has been working with our department either full- or part-time since 2015. He knows the job, he knows the people, he knows the community, and he’s fully trained. This will be a huge staffing boost for the PD, especially with the recent resignation of Officer Kellan Sydnes.”
