Nevada Police Officer Sean Seymour has successfully completed weapons training for each of the types of guns the department uses: handguns, shotguns and rifles. Over the past year, Seymour proactively sought out schools that teach about each weapon and completed classes. The training involved learning to do preventative maintenance, repairs, and annual inspections for each type of weapon. Seymour joins Chris Brandes as the second officer in the department with this type of training. This training benefits the police department by having officers who can help extend the life of current weapons and ensure all weapons are functioning properly. Seymour has been with the department since 2017.
