The Nevada Public Safety Department received a $100 gift today from Availa Bank. Sharon Johnson, who is pictured with officers Chris Brandes, left, and Jon Soubayi, said that Availa Bank put out a request for kids to color pages to support police in 16 communities from Story County over to western Iowa. If 100 sheets came in, the bank agreed to donate to each department. Nevada Director of Public Safety Ricardo Martinez said the money received will be used for the next community event, like an outdoor movie. Thank you Availa Bank and all the kids who colored pages!
