Smoke Testing of the Sanitary Sewer System will begin Monday, Sept. 22, weather permitting.
Day 1 (of the 8-day process) will take place along the West Indian Creek trunk from south of West N Avenue to US Highway 30.
Residents near this area are encouraged to pour one gallon of water down their floor drain the prior evening or early Monday morning to help keep smoke out of the home. As a reminder, the smoke is non-toxic and should disperse fairly quickly. If at home, opening a window can help the smoke to dissipate. Anyone noticing smoke should call the WHKS office at 515-663-9997.
