Melissa Muschick is dedicated to serving her community. A 2003 graduate of Nevada High School, she enjoys being an advocate for her hometown alongside her husband, Justin, a 2002 Nevada High School graduate.
Melissa moved to Nevada when she was a freshman in high school, 1999. The sense of belonging and acceptance drew her in. Today, she's actively involved in community projects in both Nevada and Ames. She is driven by a passion to show off the best of what Nevada has to offer, and she loves inviting others to join in and be a part of making Nevada even better.
Melissa has served over 10 years in leadership and management for small businesses. More recently, she switched to non-profit employment as the Director of Partner and Business Development for Discover Ames. In this role, she focuses on economic growth through tourism and is closely connected to the betterment of the community.

Melissa and her husband are raising two teenagers, passing along the same values of service and commitment they hold dear.
