Meet FFAC Lifeguard Mallory Mills

How old are you, and what grade will you be in school this fall? I am 16, and I will be a junior at Nevada High School.

What are your parents’ names? NaTasha and Andrew Mills

What is your job at FFAC and how long have you done this? I’m a lifeguard, and this is my first year. I was going to be a lifeguard last year, but COVID hit.

What do you enjoy most about your job? I enjoy being able to be out in the sun and nice weather all day.

What else do you enjoy doing in the summer months? I enjoy going to baseball games and going to the lake with my friends.

What’s the most important thing you learned in training for this job? CPR and learning to be alert at all times

Do you have a favorite item at the concession stand? Pretzel bites

Do you have a favorite station as a lifeguard? My favorite spot is the top of the slides or the red chair by the drop slide.

What do you say most often when you’re working? We have to tell kids not to hang on the ropes or stand on the island.

FFAC is in its 20th season of operation — do you think it’s still a great place to enjoy time? FFAC is a great way to spend your time. You’re able to stay active and hang out with your friends at the same time.
