A street rehabilitation project has been announced as part of the 2024 Street Improvement plans.
This spring/summer season, an F Avenue and G Avenue – from 6th Street to 10th Street – street rehabilitation will occur. The rehabilitation will include removing the curb and then replacing the street, which will be milled and overlayed.
The condition of the pavement on these blocks is at the point where it will rapidly deteriorate if no rehabilitation is performed.
A public meeting about this project was held March 7.
Engineers anticipate the project will take two to three months to complete, and it will be happening at the same time as another separate city streets project around the elementary school area.
