It’s hydrant flushing time

Hydrant flushing started yesterday (May 6) in the Indian Ridge area, and continues today in the main part of town.
Property owners on 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th – between the railroad tracks – are likely to be in the mix today as we flush hydrants.
Residents may experience the following during this routine maintenance procedure:
* low water pressure
* brownish water
The water continues to be safe. Residents should just let it run a while when it is discolored.
If you have any questions, please call the Water Department at 515-382-2074.
