Nevada Library has exciting summer reading program

June is becoming an exciting month at the Nevada Public Library as staff kicked off their summer reading program, “Reading Colors Your World” on Monday, June 14. Adults and kids can complete a reading log and bring it back for a prize. Kids under age 18 will receive a free book just for signing up for the program!

The summer reading program will run through July 24 this year, and it isn’t just about books. There are a variety of fun activities scheduled for patrons of all ages. Most events will be held outdoors in Harrington Park. We also have regular storytime programs! Outdoor Storytime is Fridays at 10 a.m. in Harrington Park and Zoom Storytime is Wednesdays at 2 p.m.

⦁ June 14: Chalk the Walk @ the Library, Make Your Own Kites; June 21: Teen Tie-Dye; June 19 & 26: Teen Dungeons & Dragons; and June 28: Paper Airplane Competition.

⦁ July 5: Lego Catapults; July 12: Angry Birds IRL; July 17: Teen Trivia; and July 19: Squirtgun Painting.
