Nevada Public Safety Department Hiring Officers

The Nevada Public Safety Department is taking applications for Police Officer. Your application, cover letter and resume are due Friday, August 25, 2023 by 5 p.m. Applications can be emailed to Sgt. Cizmadia or you can upload all of your documents to the City of Nevada portal when filling out the application. Physical Agility testing will be held September 9, 2023 at the Nevada Public Safety Department, 1209 6th Street, Nevada, IA 50201. POST testing will be offered at a later date to those who pass the physical agility testing. Candidates who are Certified Police Officers are preferred, but non-certified officers are encouraged to test.

Advancement to Senior Patrol and Corporal offers a wage of $39.04/hour ($81,203 per year)
