Warm weather is a time for Nevada’s Street Department to work on storm-water intake repairs around the community.
This week, work is taking place on two intakes along Q Avenue, one at 9th Street and one at 2nd Street.
In doing the work, Nevada’s Street Department employees use a form at the shop to make a concrete box. Tearing out the old concrete, setting the new box in place, and doing additional concrete work is a three-day process for each intake.
Street Superintendent Jeremy Rydl said the goal is “to do as many as we can this summer.”
