The City of Nevada will be trying a new way of removing snow on main street (Sixth Street) with the blower.
In years past, we have put the row in the middle of the road. Leaving the row this way has left us with minimal room to get our plow trucks down the road and if there are vehicles parked on the street, it makes it that much more difficult. City employees driving plows have raised some concerns about how close they’ve come to hitting vehicles.
Therefore, we will plow the row into the northbound lane and essentially close off the intersection until we are done with that block, then open up that section. This will allow our trucks to have plenty of room to navigate up and down the street.
Please reach out to the City of Nevada with any questions or concerns you may have.
