Railroad crossings to be closed for maintenance/repairs

UPDATE: Some of this work is moving along at a faster rate than when we posted the schedule below.

The City of Nevada has been informed by officials of the Union Pacific Railroad of the following work dates. On these work dates, railroad officials will be doing maintenance/repair work at the south track crossings in the City of Nevada:

Starting Monday, Aug. 9, the following streets will be closed at the railroad crossings: S-14, 8^th Street, 11^th Street

Starting Saturday, Aug. 14, the following streets will be closed at the railroad crossings: 6^th Street and 19^th Street

Work on each set of crossings is expected to take three to four days.
