Cathy Vincent, of the Nevada American Legion Auxiliary, was present at the Aug. 23 Nevada City Council meeting to present a check of funds donated to support the City Fireworks show. She was pleased to announce that businesses gave so generously to the Auxiliary’s request that they exceeded their goal of $2,500 and raised a total of $2,750. Along with a donation from the American Legion Auxiliary, Vincent recognized the following businesses who made donations: Vincent Trucking, Marc Olson Real Estate, Nevada Hardware & Rental, Nevada Monument, Allen Kockler Co., Farmhouse Catering, Hetzler & Rhodes Concrete Construction, Meyer Chiropractic, KPPM, Kelly Laundry, Casey’s Heating & Cooling, Good & Quick, On Track Construction, Jeremy Earles MAC Tools, NuCara Pharmacy and Sweet Dreams Mattress Center.
