The City of Nevada is in its second and final season of the Downtown Construction Project.
Here is the newest information to help those traveling in town and/or parking in the downtown area:
Recent openings:
K Avenue, between 5th and 7th streets opened Monday, after completion of painting/striping work. Parking and travel are both open along K Avenue in the downtown district.
Current Road closures:
Lincoln Highway is closed from 5th Street to 7th Street
Alleys access in the downtown area is limited/closed due to underground work.
Detour to get through Nevada from east to west and west to east:
Motorists coming from the west are asked to take 2nd Street north to N Avenue, and N Avenue east to 10th Street, then 10th Street south to Lincoln Highway
Motorists coming from the east are asked to take 10th Street north to N Avenue, and N Avenue west to 2nd Street, then 2nd Street south to Lincoln Highway
Closing of Sixth Street between Lincoln Highway and M Avenue will happen soon.
